About This Tool
This tool reads the text visible in an image — a screenshot, scanned document, or photo of a page — and extracts it as editable, searchable text using on-device OCR, so nothing is uploaded to a server. Several languages are supported.
How to Use
- Drop an image containing text onto the upload area, or click to browse.
- Select the language the text is written in.
- Click "Extract Text" and wait for on-device OCR to finish.
- Copy the extracted text with one click, or start over with a new image.
